More than 14 planes were unable to land on Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen Airport on Jan. 12 due to strong wind, Turkish news agency Anadolu said.
These aircraft were directed to Istanbul's Ataturk International Airport.
Severe frosts and snow have been dominating in Turkey for a week already.
Earlier, a series of flights were cancelled by Turkish Airlines. In particular, the flights to Tbilisi, Budapest, Chisinau, Geneva and Tel Aviv were cancelled.
