A cargo train was blown up by PKK terrorists in Turkey’s south-eastern province of Bingol, the Turkish Haber 7 newspaper wrote July 30.

According to the newspaper, the terrorists have mined the railway by homemade remote controlled explosive between Beyhan and Suveren railway stations.

Six rail cars were damaged as a result of the blast, the newspaper wrote.

There is no information about injuries or deaths.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK, which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state, has continued for over 25 years and has claimed more than 40,000 lives. The UN and the European Union list the PKK as a terrorist organization.
