In January-February, metallurgical industry of Azerbaijan produced products and rendered services worth 66.9 million manat, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said.
Amount of production in metallurgical industry in Azerbaijan decreased by 0.1 percent, finished metal products during this period increased by 1.5 times.
Some 54,400 tons steel casting was produced in January-February, which is 34.3 times more than the same period of 2011.
Amount of production of iron casting reached 80 tons, which is 33.3 percent more than the same period of 2011.
Some 138,700 tons steel pipes were produced, which is 3.9 times more than the same period of 2011.
Amount of export of semi-finished products made from ferrous metal, as of January totaled 114,496 tons (to the amount of more than $5.2 million), which is 197.9 percent (in monetary terms - by 133.5 percent) more than the same index of 2011.
As of ten months, the amount of exported pipes made from ferrous metal exceeded 3735,9 tons (to the amount of over $3.233,5), which is 34.2 percent (in monetary terms by 34.5 percent) less compared to the same period of 2011.
