Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 11 / Trend S.Aliyev /

The electricity supply will resume in districts of Baku in the next few hours, power company JSC Bakielektrikshebeke has said. Power cuts hit Baku on Saturday due to heavy rains, JSC spokesman Tanriverdi Mustafayev said.

Strong winds and heavy rain damaged bearings in the Badamdar and Bail settlements, and in some villages of the Sabunchi district. Repair work is underway.

Meanwhile, JSC Azerbaijan Railways said that no problems had been reported on Azerbaijan's rail network, with all trains running to schedule. The network is busy on Saturday due to public holidays in Azerbaijan this weekend.

Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport is also operating normally despite the extreme weather.
