Azerbaijan, Baku, June 22 / Trend, E.Ismayilov /

Passengers of Air Astana Airline's aircraft, which carried out Almaty-Baku flight and made an emergency landing in Shymkent on Friday, will arrive in Azerbaijani capital at 19:00 Baku time, the Airline's Baku Office told Trend on Friday.

As the Airline's Almaty Office told Trend, the reason for forced landing was smoke in the cargo bay in the stern of the aircraft, and, by safety standards, the aircraft should land. No one was injured.

After the aircraft landed and passengers were evacuated, a bag with medicines was found in the cargo bay, which caused the smoke. It was retrieved and extinguished.

All 104 passengers on board of the aircraft will be sent to Baku by the same aircraft after completing technical procedures.

The aircraft will depart from Baku for Almaty at 20:00 and arrive in the city at 23:55.

The aircraft was supposed to arrive in Baku at 12:55 Baku time. The aircraft landed in Shymkent at 10:21 Baku time, Heydar Aliyev International Airport said.

Aircraft Airbus 320-200 carried out the flight KS 111.
