Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. E.Huseynli / Azerbaijani National Security Ministry held a wide operation against Vahabists in Azerbaijan's Ismayilli region.
The operation was held in Devichya Bashna ( Maiden Tower) territory in Khanaye village of Ismayilli region. The detailed information about the operation has not been announced yet.
The head of the Public Relations Department of the National Security Ministry, Arif Babayev, promised to announce more detailed information on the fact.
A fight has been reinforced against radical religious groups in Azerbaijan. Six Vahabists were detained in Sumgayit region of Azerbaijan. The operation was also held in Mashtaga District of Baku.
