Alizadeh / "There always was a great interest for the life and activities of Heydar Aliyev," MP Ali Ahmadov, the Executive Secretary of the governing New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) stated on 12th Dec at the presentation of the book Heydar Aliyev - Ways of Life by a well-known Russian publicist, Soviet state figure Nikolay Zenkovich, which has been translated into Azerbaijan language.
The book includes 5 chapters - Heydar Aliyev and the Communistic Party of the Soviet Union, Heydar Aliyev and the USSR, Heydar Aliyev and State Security Committee, Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev and Literature.
The author analyzed the life and activities of Heydar Aliyev using several documents which had not been divulged. In the preface of the book Zenkovich wrote about his acquaintance with the late and meetings with him. Heydar Aliyev was born in Nakhchivan on 10 May 1923. In 1969-1982, he was the head of the Azerbaijani SSR. Between 1993 and 2003, he was the Azerbaijan President. On 12th December 2003, Heydar Aliyev passed away.
