No Other Party Could Submit Documents to Justice Ministry on Behalf of Azerbaijani Socialistic Party – Party Chairman

Azerbaijan, Baku, 30 April / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi /Elshan Hasanov, Chairman of the Socialistic party of Azerbaijan (SPA) believes that the documents of another party under the same name cannot be submitted to the Ministry of Justice for registration.

"Ministry has informed us that our documents for registration were received and therefore another party cannot pretend to the same name," Hasanov stated to Trend .

Rustam Shahsuvarov, former Head of the Communistic party of Azerbaijan, is being founding another Socialistic party and the Organizational Committee has been functioning for this purpose.

Hasanov expressed his protest as soon as the information about Shahsuvarov's intensions was released.

Hasanov stated that the Socialistic party of Azerbaijan has already submitted its registration documents to the Justice Ministry in 2002. However, the party has not been registered so far.

Hasanov stated that he met with the Ministry officials and expressed his protest regarding to Shahsuvarov.

"Ministry stated that no other party can submit documents for registration under the Socialistic party name. If such documents will be submitted to the Ministry, then it will advise to change the name of the party," Hasanov said.

SPA had been represented in the Consultative Assembly of right central parties from 2002 to 2004 and the Socialist newspaper has passed the state registration in 2002. Party's website- www.sosialist.com .

Shahsuvarov stated to Trend that he did not meet with Hasanov and other members of the party and intends to name the party Socialistic party.
