No Country Russia as well Have Right to Impede Democratic Development of Others: NATO Secretary General

Georgia, Tbilisi, 16 September/ Trend , corr N. Kirtskhalia/ "No country Russia as well, have a right to impede democratic development of any country," NATO Secretary General Jaap de Scheffer said in meeting with UN, EU and OSCE representatives on 16 September.

"All participants of the meeting are well aware of what obstacles are created for Georgia's admission to the North Atlantic Alliance. Now we should emphasize the difficult period that Georgia has been caught up and help the country address problems created for it," Scheffer said.

NATO Secretary General said the international community should agree upon what kind of aid will be rendered to Tbilisi. "It must be carried out taking into consideration Russia's position toward Georgia as no one can hinder principles and values providing security of Europe," Scheffer said.
