From January 2009 on, TRT 8 channel will operate at the TRT channel in Turkey. It will broadcast in Kurdish, Turkish Timeturk news agency said.
The channel, which will be also broadcast via satellite, will be available not only to the Kurds of Turkey, but also of Iraq, Iran and Syria. Initially the channel will broadcast 12 hours a day, but later it will broadcast round the clock.
