Azerbaijan`s National Olympic Committee has awarded best sportsmen, coaches and sports experts of 2009, the AzerTaj state news agency reported.
President of Azerbaijan, President of the National Olympic Committee Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the award-giving ceremony.
The President viewed a photo exhibition in the National Olympic Committee`s foyer featuring Azerbaijan`s sporting achievements.
Afterwards, the award-giving ceremony took place.
President Ilham Aliyev delivered a speech at the event.
