Azerbaijani opposition party creates new organizations

The opposition Citizens and Development Party (CDP) creates new organizations.
The importance of forming women's organization and council of elders in the party, as well as expansion of the youth organization's activity were needs emphasized at a new staff meeting of the party's political council, the Citizens and Development Party said.
In his speech, the Party Chairman Ali Aliyev comprehensively reviewed the situation in the country, formed after the parliamentary elections; he spoke about the possible impact of processes ongoing in Azerbaijan. The party gave considerable emphasis to integration within the opposition and believes that the joint initiative of the CDP and the Liberal Party put forward in this direction will produce certain changes, Aliyev said. While expressing their attitude to this issue members of the political council stressed the importance of preserving the CDP's position on domestic political processes in the country.
The meeting focused on issues such as systematization of party members' registration, the inner-party situation and improving the mechanism of CDP preparation for mass events. In addition, some proposals on propaganda were put forward.
At the meeting responsibilities were divided among the political council members to coordinate the activities of local organizations in Baku and in rural areas. The current issues were discussed and appropriate decisions taken at the end of the meeting.
