SAM expert to deliver speech at conference in Washington

A conference titled "Twenty Years of Independence in the South Caucasus: Achievements and Challenges" will be held in Washington DC on Sept. 15, the Center for Strategic Studies under the Azerbaijani President (SAM) reported.

A conference titled "Twenty Years of Independence in the South Caucasus: Achievements and Challenges" will be held in Washington DC on Sept. 15, the Center for Strategic Studies under the Azerbaijani President (SAM) reported.

SAM Expert Reshad Kerimov will participate in the conference and make a speech "20 years of independence - Lessons Learned, Azerbaijan's experience". The conference is organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Topics, such as Geopolitics in the South Caucasus, Nagorno-Karabakh and other regional conflicts, as well as the U.S. cooperation with South Caucasus countries will be discussed at the conference.

Eric Rubin, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia will represent the US Government in the discussions along with some prominent analysts on the region, such as Ariel Cohen from Heritage Foundation, Svante Cornell from CACI, who will also make their presentations on the current situation in South Caucasus.
