President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today attended an Iftar party on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan hosted by Head of the Caucasian Muslims` Board Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade at his residence.
The event kicked off with the recitation of verses from the Quran.
Adressing the event, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade thanked the Head of State for accepting his invitation to attend the Iftar party. He also thanked the religious figures for attending the event.
Other speakers, including Head of the Baku and Caspian Eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church Father Alexander, muftis of the Karachay-Cherkess and Chechen Republics Ismayil Berdiev and Soltan Mirzayev praised Azerbaijan`s contributions to strengthening Islamic unity and developing global interfaith dialogue.
The Head of State addressed the event.
