On Thursday, Batumi hosts the conference on ‘The defence and security of Georgia’, which has become a significant security forum for the whole South Caucasus. The conference is attended by representatives of the Centre for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CSS).

On Thursday, Batumi hosts the conference on 'The defence and security of Georgia', which has become a significant security forum for the whole South Caucasus. The conference is attended by representatives of the Centre for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CSS).

As stated by the CSS, based on the issues and trends that exist at present in the field of defence and security, this conference has been a significant and unique in its type of forum in the South Caucasus since 2006.

The conference brings together politicians, experts and representatives of states, non-governmental and international organisations and educational institutions that carry out various dialogues, debates and discussions on the subject.

The event will be held for three days and will discuss topics such as 'Prospects for Security Policy of Georgia', 'NATO Enlargement: Trends and Prospects in the candidate countries' amongst others.
