Azerbaijan, Baku, July 25 / Trend, S. Ahmadova /

Morocco intends to raise economic relations with Azerbaijan to strength of political ties.

"Political relations between Morocco and Azerbaijan are very good. Both countries are cooperating together not only to defend their own national interests, but also to defend the national interests of many other friendly countries," Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Azerbaijan Hassan Hami said in an interview with Trend in connection with Morocco's national holiday - anniversary of King Mohamed VI's accession to the throne.

"The two countries are working to raise the level of economic relations to the level of political relations," the diplomat said.

"We have to first sign an agreement on "Avoiding double taxation", an agreement on the "Promotion and protection of investments" and on developing economic relations," he added.

"Draft agreements are ready for signing," he added. "We look forward to the next meeting of the joint commission on bilateral cooperation between the Azerbaijani and Moroccan governments in the near future. Agreements will be signed during this meeting. This is very important for the entrepreneurs of the two countries to make investments."

"Morocco is ready to offer Azerbaijan its expertise," he stressed. "Azerbaijan also has expertise in many other fields. The two countries are ready to cooperate and coordinate both governments' efforts."
