Azerbaijani NGO support council signs agreement with Geneva center

The ceremony of signing the agreement on the project between the council of state support for NGO under the president of Azerbaijan and the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces took place in Geneva, the Council said Oct.3.
The agreement was signed in the framework of funding of foreign NGO by the council.
The head of the center Theodor Winkler expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with Azerbaijan and stressed that Azerbaijan and Switzerland attach great importance to tolerance, multiculturalism and secularism.
He also said that Azerbaijan has a unique experience in the field of protection of multiculturalism and tolerance and stressed the need for demonstration of this experience in Europe.
Deputy director of the center for international relations Daniel Warner said that modern Azerbaijan made great achievements in economic and social spheres, and achievements in the field of tolerance and multiculturalism will be demonstrated to the international community with the help of the project.
Chairman of the Council Azay Guliyev expressed confidence that the project will be successful, and noted that this cooperation will contribute to the development of relations between the two countries.
The signing ceremony was attended by the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Switzerland Akram Zeynalli and deputy head of the department on social and political issues of the presidential administration Tahir Suleymanov.
