CEC to cancel leading oppositionist's mandate at her request

On Thursday the Central Elections Commission (CEC) will take a resolution on the cancellation of a mandate of Lala Shovkat Hajiyeva, a leader of the National Unity Movement, Azer Sariyev, spokesman for the CEC, told Trend.

A meeting of the CEC to be held at 17.00pm will mull an appeal by Hajiyeva and out the issue to motion. The gathering is also to provide information on candidates, who will participate in the by-elections to the parliament.
