Azerbaijan and Finland are expanding cooperation in political, economic and humanitarian spheres. This intention was confirmed during the meetings Azeri Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov led with Finlands authorities during his official visit on June 28 through July 1, Trend reports with reference to Foreign Ministry.
Within his visit, Foreign Minister met with Finlands President Tarya Halonen, Minister of Trade and Industry Maori Pekkarinen, State secretary with Foreign Ministry Peti Torstila, undersecretary of state Markus Pelira, Chief advisor of Nokia Miko Haikonen.
The parties discussed the issues regarding the current level of interaction between Azerbaijan and Finland and reached the agreement for leading business-forums, as well as exchanged opinions for Azerbaijans interaction with European and NATO structures.
