In result of the operative-investigation measures taken by the National Security Ministry of Azerbaijan, a group was detained involved in the contraband of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan, Trend reports with reference to the public relations center of the National Security Ministry.
On July 7, 2 gr. heroin, and about 30 gr. marijuana were discovered in the automobile VAZ-2106 driven by the citizen of the Asgallar district of Beylagan district Mahrrmmov Rasim and on the same day, his house was inspected.
In result, 9 kg 859 gr. Marijuana and 279 gr. heroin were revealed. In result of the operative measures, other members of the group were also detained the resident of the Eyvazlar village of Beylagan district Garayev Talib and resident of Avshar village of Agjabadi district Mammadov Elchin.
It was made clear that they ordered the drugs from the Iranian citizen named Yahya. His personality is being defined by investigation organs.
On July 7, Talib Garayev received the drug from Yahya on the Iranian-Azerbaijani border in Beylagan district and brought it to Rasim Maharramov.
According to the fact, the investigation department of National Security Ministry raised a criminal case in accordance with the articles 206.4, 234.4.1 and 234.4.3 of the Criminal Code.
