The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed on July 24 an order on training of sportsmen for the 29th summer Olympic Games scheduled for 2008 in Peking, Trend reports.
The Cabinet of Minister was tasked to ensure the financing of the conducting of training plays of Azerbaijani national collected teams, participation of Azerbaijani sportsmen in international licensed tournaments and organization of licensed matches in Azerbaijan and other measures in accordance with the plan submitted by the Ministry of Youth and Sport and National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan.
In the document, it was mentioned the necessity of concentrating the efforts of Ministry of Youth and Sport and National Olympic Committee and other national sport federations in the period of training for the Olympiad.
