The inspections of buildings, held by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, the construction of which has been stopped, will take approximately half a year, the Chief of the State Agency for Security Control in Construction of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) Jabrail Khanlarov briefed the media on October 11, Trend reports.

Khanlariv stressed that if the buildings do not comply with the required standards, they will be pulled down and the entrepreneurs will be paid compensation.

There have been situations where the entrepreneur had received permission to construct a 12-floor building, but it was later revealed that a 16-floor building was constructed instead. In such and similar cases, the matter will be resolved in court, Khanlarov stressed.

According to Khanlarov, several owners of buildings whose construction has been stopped, have appealed to the Agency for their expert advice. Although they have requested for the matter to be accelerated to a conclusion, Khanlarov considers that this is impossible. It is impossible to hold inspections within a short period. It will take at least half year, Khanlarov stated.
