The Azerbaijani Minister of Industry & Energy, Natik Aliyev, will participate in the 2nd International Meeting of the Energy Ministers of the European, Caucasian and Middle Asian countries due in Astana at the end of November 2006, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Latif Gandilov, told Trend Special Correspondent in Kazakhstan.
According to the Ambassador, one of the key topics of the discussion at the meeting will be dedicated to the project of the Trans-Caspian pipeline development.
In addition, the Ambassador stressed that the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov, is expected to visit Astana at the beginning of 2007.
This year the 5th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission should take place. The meeting will be held in Astana, Baku having hosted the previous meeting. the Ambassador added.
