Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Agayeva / The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslin Department (CMD), Sheikh Ul Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade, called upon the Islamic countries to demonstrate a more decisive position with regards to the Armenia's occupation policy.
The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Egypt, Faig Bagirov, said that the religious Leader of the Caucasus Muslims made this challenge at the international conference in Egypt on the topic "Problems of Islamic World and Their Decisions in Conditions of Globalization". According to the Ambassador, Pashazade shared his views with the conference participants regarding problems in the Islamic world. He particularly highlighted the importance of unity of the Islamic countries to resolve the problems, as well as the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The event has been organized under the aegis of the President of Egypt, Hosin Mubarek. As well as his participation at the event, Sheikh Ul Islam held a number of meetings with the heads of the delegations attending the conference including a meeting with the Vagf Minister of Egypt, Ahmad Hamdi Zakzuk. The meeting focused on the interaction and support in resolving the problems of the Islamic world.
