Azerbaijan, Baku / Т corr S. Aghayeva / Azerbaijani People's Genocide Day (31 March) will be commemorated in the Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkey.
Zakir Gashimov, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkey, informed on 30 March that a commemorative meeting will be held in the Embassy on 31 March. The MPs of Great National Assembly (Turkish Parliament), the officials from the Turkish Foreign Ministry, foreign ambassadors and diplomats accredited in Turkey, eminent political and social figures, representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora have been invited to participate in the meeting.
The Azerbaijani president's appeal on the anniversary day will be read and handed out to the people. Press-releases reflecting the tragic events of the beginning of the 20-th century were sent out by the Embassy.
