Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr E. Huseynli / Vagif Asadov, the head of the Department on Traffic Security and Public Relations of the State Baku City Police Department, reported on 7 May that 34 traffic accidents took place in Baku during last week, as a result 5 people died and 50 got injured.
Some 7,664 drivers were made answerable in compliance with administrative regulations during the mentioned period, with 164 drivers fined for drink driving, 127 for creation of an accident situation, 218 for driving under red light, 603 for avoiding safety belt, 180 for high speed, and 23 for insubordination to law enforcement bodies.
