Azerbaijani media representatives end visit to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (PHOTO)

On Nov. 10-15, Azerbaijani media representatives visited the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), the State Support for Media Development Fund under the President of Azerbaijan said on Thursday.
The visit was organized with the financial support of the Azerbaijani Presidential State Support Fund for Media Development within the council's "International Media Experience Study and Application" project.
The purpose of the visit was to get familiarized with media work experience in the international arena and in the region, as well as exchange of experience on the development of freedom of speech and media. In addition, representatives of Azerbaijani media attended the events commemorating the declaration of independence of the fraternal republic. During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation met with the founder of the Republic Rauf Denktash, President of the TRNC Dervish Eroglu, the heads of various government departments, as well as Azerbaijani students at local universities. The delegation also held several meetings in the leading mass media.
The Azerbaijani delegation includes the fund's executive director, Vugar Safarli, the council's deputy chairman, Mushfig Alasgarli, Yeni Azerbaijan Editor Hikmat Babaoglu, Iki Sahil Chief Editor Vugar Rahimzade, Azerbaijan Deputy Editor Zeynal Zeynalov, Olaylar CEO Yunus Oguz, Trend CEO Ilgar Huseynov, Express founder Mushfig Safiyev, Baki Khabar Chief Editor Aydin Guliyev, Paritet Chief Editor Jamaleddin Guliyev, Turkustan Chief Editor Aqil Jamal, Bizim Yol Chief Editor Bahaddin Gaziyev, SES Chief Editor Bahruz Guliyev and Oxu Mani Chief Editor Emin Akhundov.
