The Azerbaijani Interior Ministry's staff will contribute to the fight against corruption in the country, Interior Minister Ramil Usubov told journalists on Saturday.
"We have taken and will further take many measures to combat the corruption upon the Azerbaijani president's order," Usubov said.
He said the cases related to corruption are rigorously investigated and serious actions are taken against the violators.
"Each police officer and an employee, who is in the public service, should know that he/she must gratuitously serve to citizens. They receive a salary from the state for this," Usubov said.
