Afghan deminers to arrive in Azerbaijan

Director General of Public Administration of Disaster Management, Head of II apparatus of the Vice-President Abdul Hamid Nab and director of Mine Action in Afghanistan Samandari Mohd Qasim will visit Azerbaijan on July 2-7.
Director of the Mine Action Centre of Tajikistan Muhabbed Ibrohimov will visit Azerbaijan simultaneously with the Afghan delegation, Azerbaijani National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) told Trend on Monday.
Afghan delegation and director of the Tajik Mine Action Centre will arrive in the Fizuli regional base agencies to review the operations in Fuzuli, as well as the work of special vehicles for demining and specially trained dogs on July 3. The guests will visit Goygol regional base ANAMA to get acquainted with the teachings and training equipment on July 4.
ANAMA has sent 24,000 information manuals for mine risk education for school children and 1,500 grants to teachers since 2009, under the "non-military humanitarian assistance programs".
Training courses on mine risk education to 800 teachers were held by ANAMA experts in Kabul and Pervan area. This work will be continued in 2012 and 2013.
