Publishing house of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan has started printing ballot papers for voting in connection with the upcoming referendum to amend the constitution of Azerbaijan scheduled for September 26, 2016.

Earlier, Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to hold a referendum Sept. 26 on making amendments to the country’s constitution.

Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan Mazahir Panahov and the committee members got acquainted with the process of printing of the ballots.

Panahov noted that the requirements for the text, form, quantity and method of printing of the ballots have been set by the CEC, and it was decided to print 5.280,924 million ballots.

The chairman of the CEC noted that after being published, the ballots will be sent to constituency election commissions and from there to precinct election commissions by the CEC in an order and terms established by the legislation of Azerbaijan.
