Teams from 20 countries will participate in Anver Coudri Cup, a tournament held in the honor of the President of the World Boxing Association (AIBA), which will start in Baku on 29 March 2006, Trend reports.
During the meeting of the organization committee of the tournament, the head of the National Federation, Agajan Abiyev, stressed that the tournament will bring together athletes from Turkey, Kazakhstan, the United States, Russia, Ukraine, Philippines, Thailand, Qatar, China, Israel, Pakistan, Cuba and many other countries. The host country will be traditionally represented by two teams.
During the match held under the leadership of the Minister for Youth and Sports, Azad Ragimov, Abiyev noted that he counts on gaining 5 highest awards. Referees from Germany, Italy and Russia with experience in refereeing in Olympiad have been invited to conduct the tournament.
