I.Khalilova / The Azerbaijani Government is interested in construction of two plants for reclamation in the country, Heydar Babayev, the Azerbaijani Minister for Economic Development, said during meeting with the German delegation headed by Michael Glos, the Minister for Economy and Technologies.
The German companies shared with their exercise in reclamation of industrial and communal wastes. The companies expressed will to cooperate with Azerbaijan.
About 1mln ton of wastes gathered in Baku and Absheron Peninsula annually. The garbage processing plant will be constructed in Baku City.
There is no country where 100% of wastes are cleaned. Azerbaijan signed contract with the Japanese Mitsubishi company to cover ground with а wastes in Balakhani district. There are problems with wastes in Azerbaijan's regions. The distance is too far to bring wastes to the Baku-based garbage processing plant. Reclamation of 1 ton of wastes costs AZN 30.
There is no need to bring garbage to Baku plant we should construct such plants in regions.
