Azerbaijan and Poland Sign Declaration on Cooperation in Entrance to WTO(video)

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend I.Khalilova / two documents were signed been the Government of Azerbaijan and Poland in Baku on 8 November. They were protocols on the result of the second meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation and Declaration on cooperation in Azerbaijan's entrance to WTO. The documents were signed by Heydar Babayev, Azerbaijani minister for economic development and Piotr Wazniak, the Policy Economy Minister.

Wazniak said that all issues considered at the commission are of strategic character and designed for a long period. Cooperation between the countries will be established not only on the international level, but also between the enterprises, which can be a model for other countries.

Poland intends to render assistance to Azerbaijan in the unification of legislation in accordance with the WTO requirements.

"Talks dealing with Azerbaijan's entrance to the WTO lasted too long and are very important. But the key objective is not only review and formulation of laws, but their right interpretation," the Polish minister stressed.

So far, 80 replies to questions have been sent to Azerbaijan and Poland is prepared to render assistance further.
