Baku  International  Airport Stops Its Activity due to Bad Weather Conditions

Azerbaijan, Baku, /corr. Trend S. Aliyev/ Baku International Airport named after Heydar Aliyev stopped its activity in the second half of the day on 7 January due to bad weather conditions, a source stated in AZAL State Concern.

"If weather conditions enable, the flights will be re-established late today", the same source stated.

The flights to the airport in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic were postponed today. According to the representative of the Concern, only six flights are carried to Nakchivan per day.

The flights to Nakhchivan will be re-commenced only after the weather conditions become stabilized in Nakhcivan.

Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is in blockade a result of Armenian- Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The only communication to the NAR is possible by the air.
