Natural gas prices in Turkey will be reduced next January, Turkish Zaman newspaper reported on Tuesday.
"It is expected that the reduction will be around 20 percent", the report said.
Government officials told the paper the reduction is due to price drop on oil and foreign currency numbers.
Natural gas price in the country had seen 75 percent hike this year alone and cause an outcry in public.
Energy Ministry of Turkey had stated the price will gradually cut down according to the changes in oil prices.
The first cut will be effected next January in 2009, reported World bulletin.
