Azerbaijan State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents revealed serious shortcomings in the activities of five companies engaged in production of sugar, dairy products and soft drinks.
"Examinations revealed that the enterprises had blatantly violated products output rules, technical and regulatory rules of production process. They did not carry out laboratory tests of finished products. All enterprises were unsanitary," the office said.
The violators are sugar producing enterprises belonging to individuals Kamala Namazova (the Lale trade mark), Tavakkul Mammadov, Elince OJSC (the Sehirli Dad trade mark), soft drinks producing enterprise Iki Qardas (the Hacı Su trade mark) and a dairy products enterprise owned by individual Nofal Tagiyev.
The State Committee is carrying out appropriate measures to prohibit production at these enterprises.
The State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents is the executive central body shaping and carrying out state policy in the field of standardization, metrology, certification and protection of industrial property.
