Tariffs at Baku Metro not to be increased: Baku Metro Head

Azerbaijan, Baku, July 3 / Trend U.Ismayilova/

Fares at the Baku metro will not be increased though direct price is 0.65 manats as compared to existing 0.05 manats, Baku Metro Head Tagi Ahmedov said at a news conference held at the headquarters of the ruling News Azerbaijan Party on Jul. 3.

This question is not considered now, Ahmedov added.

Ahmadov said Baku Metro pays 500,000 manats for the monthly energy consumption.

The metro does not plan to launch its work at 5:30 as it was earlier. Now it begins functioning at 6:00. Only 80 men traveled for 30 minutes in the morning and paid 4 manat in fares. However, expenses for electricity increased by nearly 50,000 manats per month. So, it is not expedient to start earlier in the morning, he added.
