IMF to consider opportunities of approving one more installment for Georgia

The mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) headed by Edward Gardner visited Georgia on July 22.

The mission has held meetings with representatives of different governmental agencies since July 7, the IMF representative office in Tbilisi said.

The visit will focus on allocation of next tranche to Georgia. It is also planned to discuss the approval of next tranche to Georgia by the IMF assistance budget, which is the funds' new   product.

The IMF allocated $725 million to Georgia to replenish monetary resources after Aug, 2008. The country has received two tranches worth $439 million by that time. The next tranche is expected to comprise roughly $72 million.
