Crude steel production in Iran in the first calendar month (March 21 to April 20) exceeded 1.01 million tons, 5 percent more compared to the same month a year ago.
The Mehr News Agency cited a report by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) stating that during this month 65.8 thousand tons of the product worth $34.5 million was exported which was 14 percent more than the same period last year.
Steel products manufactured in this month hit nearly 942.5 tons which was 23 percent more than the same period before, the report stated.
