The Azerbaijani Travel Agencies Association (AZTA) and Azerbaijani National Confederation of Entrepreneurs signed a cooperation agreement on Monday, AZTA head Nahid Bagirov said.
The main item of the contract is development of entrepreneurship and improvement of the business climate in the tourism sphere, strengthening the potential of tourism companies and hotels, the protection of tourists' rights, the effective promotion of dynamic growth of member organizations' members, Bagirov said.
Bagirov said that the agreement envisages the protection of rights of tourism companies and public and private facilities, collection of legal, economic and financial information, development of programs and projects to develop tourism in the country, joint trainings, and promoting Azerbaijani entrepreneurs' participation in business forums, conferences and workshops abroad.
The AZTA was created with the assistance of the Tourism and Culture Ministry in January 2009 and last year it merged with the Association of Hotels.
