Georgia's foreign trade turnover with the CIS countries increases again, the Georgian Statistics Agency told Trend today.
According to the information, the figure was $2.393 billion in January-October 2011 (39 percent more compared to the same period of last year). The export hit 835 million (68 percent more) and import - 1.559 billion (28 percent more).
The share of CIS countries in Georgia's total foreign trade turnover is 33 percent, including export - 48 percent, import - 28 percent. About 19 percent of the trade deficit fall to these countries.
Georgia's foreign trade turnover amounted to $7.322 billion in January-October 2011, or 39 percent more compared to the same period of last year.
