Kyrgyzstan's accession to the Customs Union would force the country's alcohol industry to collapse, Kazakh official Tursunbek Kurenkeev said at a parliamentary committee on Tuesday.
"I want to emphasize that joining the Customs Union could lead to collapse of this industry, as alcoholic beverages in Kyrgyzstan can not sustain price competition," KyrTAG quotes Kurenkeev as saying.
"This industry account for only one percent of the GDP," he said.
