Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC) established a new subsidiary. As the GOGC told Trend, the new company JSC "Namakhvani HPP Cascade" will be engaged in the design and construction of the HPP cascade on the Rioni River in the West Georgia. Its capacity is 450 megawatts.
Cascade will unite three HPPs - 100-megawatt Tvishi hydropower plant, 250-megawatt Namakhvani HPP and 100-megawatt Zhoneti HPP.
Implementation of the project, as GOGC said, will begin soon.
