More than thousand of corruption cases were registered during the first half of the year in Kazakhstan, chairman of the Agency of Kazakhstan for Fighting Economic Crimes and Corruption Rashid Tusupbekov said.
Some 5125 crimes were registered by the financial police during the first half of the year, including corruption - 1107, economic - 3572" Tusupbekov said.
He noted that the total amount of damage caused by the crimes registered by the financial police amounted to 70 billion tenge ($ 1 - 149, 8 tenge), 29 billion tenge of which has already been repaid.
