Consumer goods worth 11 billion manat was sold from the retailer to the population of Azerbaijan in January-August 2012, which is 9.2 percent more compared to the same period last year, the State Committee on Statistics said on Saturday.
The volume of consumer products sales to legal entities amounted to 1.4 billion manat, entrepreneurs, trading without establishing a legal entity accounts for products worth 5.1 billion manat, individuals who work in the markets and fairs accounts for products worth 4.5 billion manat. The volume of e-commerce has made 905.1 thousand manat.
Some 56.36 percent of spending was sent to buy food, 43.64 percent - non-food items.
