Baku hosts Azerbaijan-South Korean business forum in the business to business (b2b) format today. Over 50 companies attend it. Azerbaijani side is represented by more than 40 companies.
The business forum was organized by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).
The companies, participating in the business forum, manufacture glass products, heating systems, optical lenses, ABS door (interior doors made of plastic), construction materials, as well as work in the food industry, tourism, and so on.
The representatives of the Korean side, participating in a business forum, said that Azerbaijan demonstrates high rates of economic growth. This draws attention of South Korean companies.
According to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and South Korea in 2011 totaled $620.92 million, of which $176.7 million fall to imports of South Korean goods.
AZPROMO was established by the Azerbaijani government in 2003. The supreme governing body of the Foundation is Board of Trustees composed of representatives from government, private sector and the international community.
