International company to build pipe plant in Kazakhstan

International supplier of pipes and related services, Tenaris, is going to build a pipe plant in Kazakhstan's special economic zone Seaport Aktau, the Kazakh Ministry for Investment and Development said in a message Feb. 21.

"The agreements between the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and the Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi start to be implemented. A meeting with Tenaris took place at the Investment and Development Ministry," read the message.

The plant's construction is scheduled to start in March and end in early 2016.

The pipe plant is expected to employ 90 people. Kazakhstan's citizens will occupy 90 percent of job places at the plant.

Tenaris consists of a network of manufacturing facilities, service yards and commercial offices that spans the globe. The company provides casing and tubing, line pipe and various other mechanical and structural steel pipes for different applications.
