Currency trading volume down at Kazakh Stock Exchange

The volume of foreign currency trading on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap operations, decreased by 44.7 percent and amounted to 27.35 trillion Kazakh tenges in January-Sept. 2016, as compared to the same period of 2015

The volume of foreign currency trading on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap operations, decreased by 44.7 percent and amounted to 27.35 trillion Kazakh tenges in January-Sept. 2016, as compared to the same period of 2015, said the message on KASE website.

The volume of foreign currency trading in US dollar equivalent decreased by 69.4 percent to $78.62 billion in this period.

In total, trading volume on KASE amounted to 73.17 trillion tenges in January-Sept. 2016, which is by 10 percent more than in the same period of 2015.The trading volume in US dollar equivalent decreased by 38.2 percent to $212.34 billion in this period.
