Russians invest in construction at Kazakhstan's Pavlodar SEZ

Russian “Ross” research and production association will launch a plant for the production of barrier fences and galvanizing of metal in Kazakhstan’s "Pavlodar" special economic zone, the press service of local executive body (akimat) said in a message.

The representatives of the association met with the head of the Pavlodar region Bulat Bakauov on October 24, to discuss the details of the future cooperation.

Russian entrepreneurs will invest 3 billion tenge in the construction of the plant in Pavlodar.

“We produce metal constructions for industrial and civil projects, as well as for the oil and gas industry. Kazakhstan purchases most of our products through intermediaries, and a number of Kazakh officials were stressing the absence of plants galvanizing metal for the construction of roads,” said the Deputy Director General of “Ross” association Nadezhda Rostotskaya.

The Russian investors plan to complete the construction of the plant in June 2018, to receive the first products in August-September 2018, and to reach the full capacity of the plant in 2019.

More than 120 people will gain employment in the project. The head of Pavlodar region guaranteed the provision support to investors in all the necessary directions. After the demonstration of a draft project by the Russian side the Kazakh government may organize the construction of the infrastructure at the expense of the state budget.
