Foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital down

The amount of foreign investments put in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital totalled 1.39 billion manats in January-March 2018 that is by 34.1 percent less than in the same period of 2017, says the State Statistics Committee’s report.

During the period, 82.2 percent (1.14 billion manats) of investments put in Azerbaijan’s economy accounted for investors from the UK, Turkey, Malaysia, Switzerland, Russia, Iran, the US, Japan and the Czech Republic.

In January-March 2018, the biggest volume of foreign investment in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital was put in March – 489.1 million manats, and the smallest – in February (437.6 million manats).

In January-March 2018, the biggest share of foreign investments in Azerbaijan’s fixed capital was recorded in February – 50.6 percent of total volume of investments, and the smallest share – in March (46.8 percent).

The official exchange rate as of April 20 is 1.7 AZN/USD.
